medal! what i'm talking about is not the one that you present to the winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up in a competition but the bronze medallion qualification in life saving
no kidding, i was a life guard before... it's been more than 16 years' time. that was a summer holiday as i was still a student, i worked in a public swimming pool ... it was a good time...
nevertheless, such qualification expires in 3 years' time. i didn't renew it at that time. and since then, you could hardly find my footprint in any swimming pool... haha
but, after years, i realized that doing exercises should be one of my top priorities. i was back and started to go swimming and jogging sometimes. it was no easy task for one who didn't do exercises for years to maintain doing exercises regularly.
in 2002, i did join a life saving course with another friend. but you can guess what'd happened. how could a lazy guy like me do it! i quit after a short while.
but this year, i'm absolutely 'back'. i don't wanna waste time anymore. and i wanna prove that "i can do it still... being thirty something"... people say doing sports trains up your stamina. now i deeply believe in it.
yesterday, i finished the exam of bronze medallion of life saving. the official result will be out after 14 working days (at least). but according to our coach, it should be fine ... ... ... ... woooooooooooooooow
I DID IT
in fact, i don't mind if i failed as i'm not planning to be a life guard again. having finished the tough exam proves a lot! now, i'm confident in myself again![]()
